Michael Cioffero has a Master’s Degree in classical guitar and is the guitar instructor at the prestigious Dalton School in New York City and, in addition, teaches at the highly esteemed 92nd Street Y School of Music.

He has studied with Benjamin Verdery and Christopher Parkening among others and at Taller Flamenco Escuela de Flamenco in Seville, Spain. Michael has been teaching classical and electric guitar for 20 years.

Michael provides beginner through advanced classical guitar lessons in New York City. His students have performed at Carnegie Hall, performed in master classes with world renowned classical guitarists and have gone on to study at major music conservatories such as the Manhattan School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

Michael is an accomplished electric guitar player and teacher as well. Along with his classical and flamenco instruction, he teaches many other genres such as rock, blues and folk.

In 2013, Michael was interviewed by New York Family Magazine for an article about teaching guitar and music education. Published in their November 2013 Issue.
