Michael holds guitar instructor positions at The Dalton School and the New York City Guitar School.
In addition, Michael is a registered Suzuki classical guitar instructor with the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
Michael has a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance and has studied with Christopher Parkening, Benjamin Verdery and William Kanengiser and has also studied Flamenco guitar at Taller Flamenco Escuela de Flamenco in Sevilla, Espana. He has taught classical and electric guitar for 15 years.
He provides beginner through advanced classical guitar lessons for adults and children in New York City. Several of his students have gone on to study at major music conservatories such as the Manhattan School of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Northwestern University.
Michael is an accomplished electric guitar player and teacher as well. Along with his classical, flamenco, and Suzuki guitar instruction, he teaches many genres on electric guitar such as rock, folk, and blues.
