Michael Cioffero has a Master’s Degree in classical guitar and has studied with Benjamin Verdery, Christopher Parkening and William Kanengiser among others. In addition, Michael has studied flamenco guitar at Taller Flamenco Escuela de Flamenco in Seville, Spain. Michael is the guitar instructor at the prestigious Dalton School in New York City and has a guitar instructor position at the highly esteemed 92nd Street Y School of Music. He performs many styles on guitar such as classical, flamenco, rock and jazz and has regular performances in New York City and throughout the United States. At age 19 he was one of 12 guitarists chosen nationwide to perform at the annual Christopher Parkening Master Class and, since then, has performed on VH1, Japanese Television, Off-Broadway plays, film soundtracks, the television series “The Arts in Westchester” and a feature in Rolling Stone Magazine. Recently Michael studied and performed at the Benjamin Verdery (Yale University) Master Class in Maui, Hawaii. Michael’s performance credentials include:
